Production Log
I have recently created contact sheets of all the images I took during my photoshoot. By creating a contact sheet it allows me to look through all my images easily and it shows the range of images I took. I then published these images as a PDF which allows me to easily upload it to my blog which I can always refer back to.
For Amy's photoshoot, my PDF is 6 pages long which shows the amount of photos I actually took. By taking so many photos, it gives me a wider range of what I can use so I can get the best possible end result.

Article Draft- 700 words
Magazine Article
Draft
After just 6
months, Zoe Cowling has already hit the big time!
“It’s actually crazy! 6 months ago I was
singing in some, very er small pubs and at family weddings, nothing major. And
now, I’m going to be performing at some of the biggest festivals and venues to
date. I mean Reading and V Festival in one summer? It really doesn’t seem real!
I used to go to Festivals as a young adult and have the best time, well from
what I can remember. A lot of alcohol was most definitely consumed… I used to
look up at the stage just wishing I was on it, now look at me! When I perform
at Reading I’m actually going to be jealous that I’m not camping. I mean,
chucking on wellies, old clothes and getting ridiculously muddy is what
festivals are about! I’ll be packing my wellies and knee high socks to come
with me for sure!”
We can’t wait to
see you at the festivals Zoe!
“Trust me, I can’t wait to perform! There
will be people like I was in the audience, hopefully looking up to me for
inspiration so I want to make my set as good as possible purely for them! I
still have no idea what I’ll be doing though; I’ll just leave that all last
minute most probably, as per usual. It sounds very big headed and diva-ish but
if I didn’t have people working with me, I’d be completely lost. I’m the most
unorganised person ever, my brain is all mush. I can fend for myself of course
but I just need that extra hand to hold to help me along the way, or to be
honest, I’d get on stage and have no idea what I was doing! The only thing I do
control myself is my look: hair, makeup, costume etc. I’m my own person so I
hate the idea of people controlling the way I look. I love being unique and
patterns rule my life. If I stylist gives me plain clothes, well, there’s a
whole lotta drama heading their way! I’m kidding… But as with every girl, my
hair is my life! I once cut it off as a child- worst decision ever. Any girl
thinking of cutting their hair? DON’T. I give this advice around so much
because it was honestly the worst decision I ever made, well I say ‘I’ ever
made, it was my mum. So yes mum, it was your fault J My makeup is always usually done by my
makeup artist but still, I have an input. I don’t like the boring usual
mascara, foundation, and blusher. I like to go wild! Bright colours and
lipsticks are what I live for!
After watching
some of your sets we’ve noticed you move a lot?!
(Laughs) “I’ve always been a mover! Even
at the primary school discos I’d always win the award for best dancer, purely
because I just let go! I have no shame! I’ve danced since I was really young
and there’s nothing more I hate then when singers just stand in one spot on
stage and sing, I get so bored so I’d never want to bore my audience’s. I run
around stage no matter how much of a dick I look. I’d rather look like a dick
and keep my audience entertained rather than look ‘normal’ and bore them. It’s
not even as if I do a ‘dance’ when I’m onstage, I kind of run and do a little
bop/jig. Saying that, God I really must look stupid (laughs).
Tell us some
secrets!
“Well there are two things that not many
people know, but clearly a lot of people will know when this is published. I
have a few tattoos that are hidden but they are all very meaningful so it’s not
as if I just went and blew a load of money on nothing! But, I’m not going to
tell you what they are. And I also still sleep with my teddy! He comes
everywhere with me, every show or performance I give him
a little hug for good luck. But sh, it’s embarrassing. Ted will definitely be coming to Reading with
me, how can he not?!

Model Release
This is what I got my model to sign which would allow me to edit the photos without her getting offended. This also allows me to use the photos in any way within my magazine.
Production Log
In today's lesson we had a 'think bank'. We borrowed some bean bags and all sat round in the class to discuss ideas for our magazines and also sell lines.
Within this lesson I began to create further possible sketches of all my pages which makes it easier whilst designing my actual magazine. As there were others around me, I was able to ask them for their opinion and give me ideas as to ways in which I could develop my magazine further so it's overall effectiveness improves.
We also began to think of sell lines to go in our contents and on the front cover. Again, by already creating these, it became easier for the actual design. These included things such as freebies, reviews, interviews etc. These were then split into four sections being:
On the cover
Regulars
Features
and, Cover story to allow easy navigation throughout the magazine.
Once these were all written down, I typed them up. Something else I decided to consider was a QR code, this highlights the idea of new media and makes my magazine more interactive for a reader. This QR code would then link directly to my blog.
